Project: Guangzhou University Library
Address: Huangpu District, Guangzhou
Product: ZUM
This project is for a well-known university in Guangzhou, established in 1997. With the continuous changes in teaching methods and student learning habits, the library of this university is facing new challenges in terms of usage demands.

The lack of private spaces in the library has caused numerous pain points: the open study areas are crowded and noisy, making it difficult to meet the needs of focused studying; activities such as online defenses, remote interviews, and group discussions are increasing, yet there are insufficient suitable private spaces; at the same time, meeting rooms and discussion rooms are hard to book, and they cannot accommodate impromptu usage scenarios, thus affecting the realization of diverse learning and communication needs for both faculty and students.

To address these issues, the university has decided to introduce soundproof booths as an important measure to optimize space layout and improve service quality, creating a brand-new exclusive space for both faculty and students. The soundproof booths are flexible and movable, requiring no complex construction, and are made from over 90% recyclable, eco-friendly materials, making them green and low-carbon, aligning with the university’s future development direction.

This soundproof booth project successfully added flexible and quiet space modules to the library of the university in Guangzhou, addressing the issues of noise and limited space in traditional learning environments. The soundproof booths not only provide faculty and students with an efficient, private place for learning and communication, but also inject new vitality into the library’s space upgrade and functional optimization.
